During the 5th edition of the Al Khalediah European Arabian Horse Festival in Nowe Wrońska our EMANOLLA (Vitorio TO - Emandoria/Gazal Al Shaqab) won the junior bronze mare medal, while WILDONA (Shanghai EA - Wilda/Gazal Al Shaqab) gained the title of Senior Top Five Mare.

We would also like to congratulate the owners of Michałów-bred horses: EL OMARISSA (El Omari - Ernissa/Ekstern) was chosen as Senior Silver Champion Mare in the finals and EREIRA (Piruet - Elgina/Ekstern) became Senior Top Five Mare.

The Belgian-bred son of Emandoria, EMERALD J (BE), became Senior Gold Champion Stallion.

Ladies and Gentlemen!

I would like to greatly thank all those that participated in the organization and helped with this year's auction at Janów Podlaski.

First of all the staff of Michałów Stud, who devoted their time and health to this event. Many ideas for this unique event will forever be remembered - they are the result of the creative work of a breeder from Michałów, for which I publicly want to thank. The breathtaking setting of the auction arena was the technical work of a great company, who "did their thing" in a professional manner and for much less than their predecessors. Mikołaj, thank you. I also want to thank the performers of the equine shows that made the Open Day at Janów special, including the Cavalry Squadron of the Polish Army, the knights and all grooms and helpers without whom nothing would have been as good. Mariusz, there were problems, but you managed. I also feel the need to apologize to our stars, that the group Tulia already are, for the problems that they met for having the courage to sing. Please, sing always and anywhere, and evil will not touch you. Thank you for your great performance.

I thank the Equine Theatre for their extraordinary performance at the Auction Gala, when they transferred us to a land of beauty and dreams. Katarzyna, the world saw and admired. Also a huge thanks to all girls and boys from the folk group. As part of the auction we held a charity bidding and people with a huge heart bought a black pinto Shetland pony named Ursus. I thank you on behalf of the family from Janów Podlaski that suffered in a fire, who will receive the bid amount. For support during the auction I want to thank the vital Brian from Cracow, the sound and lightning team and Norbi - you rocked! We also had several good hearted sponsors that helped us financially and I hope that their presence in such an important place and time for Polish Arabians will translate to their brands gaining an even stronger position on the market. And finally we wish to thank the Clients, who purchased horses at the Janów sale - all those, who despite threats and pressure entrusted us and can now enjoy wonderful Polish Arabian horses.

An unfortunate decision of officials to separate the auction and National Show and  bringing the latter to Warsaw caused huge organizational problems. For the first time in the auction's history, after such companies as Animex, Polish Prestige, Polturf and then Poznań International Fair (in the often cited by the media year 2015 the organizer made an income of 1,5 million PLN on commission alone), the three state studs, due to a lack of anyone willing to do it, stood together to organize the auction and save the event. Without huge money from outside, without support from the owner (National Support Centre for Agriculture and Ministry of Agriculture), we did the impossible. Despite an unprecedented hate from the media - a huge thank you to the press office - and campaign against people associated with this event, we brought this project to a happy end. No one can take away our joy from our work and the result.

For this reason to all those mentioned above and all those that I have omitted - I want to once again say "thank you".

Maciej Paweł Grzechnik

Before bidding started for Arabian horses, a charity auction took place. Its outcome will be entirely donated to a family from Janów Podlaski that suffered a fire. The charity equine was none other than a pony named Ursus from Michałów for whom the buyer offered 5600 euro. Thank you!

The 40th Polish National Arabian Horse Show brought six medals (including three gold ones) for our horses and several special awards.

The junior female championship brought a gold medal for EMANOLLA (Vitorio TO - Emandoria/Gazal Al Shaqab) and the silver for EL BELLISIMA (Ascot DD - Ekliptyka/Ekstern).

The senior female championships belonged entirely to Michałów Stud, as all three medals were won by our horses: GALERIDA (Shanghai EA - Galilea/Laheeb) took the gold, WILDONA (Shanghai EA - Wilda/Gazal Al Shaqab) the silver and ZAGROBLA (Monogramm - Zguba/Enrilo) the bronze. Furthermore GALERIDA was chosen Best in Show.

MORION (Kahil Al Shaqab - Mesalina/Ekstern) won the senior male championship.

In the special awards EMANOLLA received the title for Best Movement, while GALERIDA for Highest Scored Mare. Piotr Dwojak was chosen as Best Trainer and Michałów Stud as Best Breeder.

The WAHO Trophy was awarded to ZAGROBLA.

Last Saturday the staff of Michałów Stud and President Maciej Grzechnik bid farewell to the retiring Krystyna Podlejska, who for many years took care of Michałów horses. In recent years Krystyna Podlejska was the head groom of the stud. We wish Krystyna many years in good health!

Yesterday DASTAN (Equator - Dama Pik/Enzo) was awarded the bronze medal in the junior stallions category at the Elran Cup held in Bilzen, Belgium.

During the 3rd All-Polish Arabian Horse Show held in Radom this weekend (30.06-01.07) our WILDONA (Shanghai EA - Wilda/Gazal Al Shaqab) was unanimously chosen Senior Champion Mare and Best in Show. Her dam, WILDA, is offered as lot 10 at this year's Janów Podlaski Sale.

Also returning home with medals are: EL GOTTA (Ascot DD - El Mediara/Eryks) - gold in the yearling fillies category and ZŁOTY MEDAL (QR Marc - Złota Orda/Pesal) as senior bronze champion stallion.

The Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championship held in Menton on the French Riviera (23rd-24th of June) brought our horses two recognitions: Pustynia Kahila (Kahil Al Shaqab - Pustynna Malwa/Ekstern, on the photo left and below) was chosen Best European Horse, while Equator (QR Marc - Ekliptyka/Ekstern) received two awards for best movement: the Best Movement Senior Male the Pegasus Trophy for Best Movement). Both horses placed second in their classes.

There were also other Michałów accents. The Senior Silver Champion Mare title went to Bint Hazy Al Khalediah by El Palacio VO, as on of Michałów's El Dorada and a chief sire at Michałów in the 2018 breeding season. The grandson of Kwestura, AJ Kafu, was unanimously chose Junior Gold Champion Stallion and received the prize for Best Arabian Type Junior Male. Whereas Wahaj AT, a son of Michałów-bred parents: Morion and Wieża Róż, placed second in the yearling colts class.

Pustynia Kahila will perform this weekend in Menton. Keep your fingers crossed!
